My younger brother Ben and his #famous pup TommyLeeBones #bennyandbones joined the Mean Team 5 years ago. He headed to Baja California for an all expense paid trip to the Yorkfield Stickball Galactic Championships representing Seattle’s Jet City Plowboys in a tournament against other YFS chapters from around the USA and Mexico.

Working with family is exactly what you think it’s like. The rollercoaster is everything you can imagine. Some days I don’t want to be on the damn thing, others, the wind blows fast across our faces as we laugh uncontrollably up, down and around this crazy #restaurantlife !!

I can’t honestly say I’d leave the comforts of a cubicle and the steady pay and hours of the 9-5 world to jump head first into my inaugural venture into restaurants. But if I did, I’d want Ben by my side.

If you come by the shop, he’ll be putting in the work in our tiny kitchen to turn out as many damn fine sandwiches from our tiny line as we can muster.

Remember, #familyfirst - it’s all you got bedside at the final curtain call.
